Chicken Life

I purchased my first five chicks (Rhode Island Reds) on February 22nd at one week old. I extensively researched the type of hens that would work best for my farm before purchasing and have been satisfied with my choice. The primary goal was to learn how to raise free-range chickens and gather farm-fresh eggs when they started laying.  It’s been a learning curve for myself and the hens but a fun ride nonetheless. My hens free-range daily, and I am already preparing to build a larger coop and add to the flock.  Check back for updates as the flock grows and eggs become available!
